Concord Homes Come Up Winners

Concord Pacific's reputation for great residential design is unbeatable. Two Concord projects took top honours recently at the 2000 Gold Nugget Awards hosted by the Pacific Coast Builders Conference in San Francisco.

From a field of 594 entries, the Columbus was singled out and awarded the Judges Special Award of Excellence. James Hancock's marine-inspired design caught the judging panel's attention.

 "We were really taken with the combination of imagination and function this design exhibited in every detail," said the judges. Hancock will continue to add his unique brand of architecture to Concord Pacific Place with the design of the upcoming West One tower (see page 2). The Aquarius followed up with a win for Best Mixed Use Project. Designed by James Cheng, The Aquarius combines all the elements of a neighbourhood within a neighbourhood: mid- and high-rise towers, as well as garden townhomes, all gathered around a dynamic backyard park with a colourful shopping market and additional retail at street level. "Excellent attention in every detail," explain the judges.
