Communities are more
than Bricks & Mortar

Beyond building homes and contributing parks, recreation facilities, amenities, school sites, seawall walkways and daycares, Concord infuses over $2 million dollars annually into the communities they develop in through family oriented events and charities.

Community Events

Cultural events, sports and the arts are essential ingredients to well-rounded communities. Concord sponsors and hosts a number of large scale events year round including: Run for the Cure, Canada Day at Concord CityPlace, the Vancouver Jazz Festival, Diner En Blanc, Cityfest, Surrey Fusion Festival, Party for the Planet, Vancouver Sun Run, Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association, Surrey Tree Lighting Festival and the Indian Summer Festival.

During the summer season, the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival is a staple around False Creek while Concord is renowned as the longest running sponsor of the Celebration of Light.

Concord’s New Year’s Eve Vancouver, Heritage Christmas at the Burnaby Village Museum presented by Concord Pacific and Concord Christmas Weekend at the Roundhouse anchors the family friendly events during the winter months. In addition, Concord CityPlace also supports a public skating rink at Canoe Landing Park during the season.

Concord is also a major supporter of the Vancouver Art Gallery, Arts Umbrella, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.

Concord continually supports senior assisted living programs through the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation initiatives such as the annual Walk with the Dragon and the Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala.

In addition, Concord partners and supports the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, Canadian Cancer Society, Coast Mental Health Foundation, Rotary Clubs, Vancouver Chinatown Foundation, Diamond Rally Charity Challenge, United Way of Lower Mainland, and Vancouver Eastside programs and housing initiatives.

West Coast Heritage

Concord Pacific not only supports citywide events, kids programs and charities. Concord is deeply woven into the community through culture, heritage and supporting the Nations that were here first. Concord Pacific has a long history of supporting employment programs like Blade Runners and Sole Foods and now supports youth and young people with employment and training opportunities all year at Concord’s pop up park.
