Concord Pacific Previews Vancouver’s Gateway Building and Marque Glass Bottom Pool

VANCOUVER ARC CONDOMINIUM TO BOAST THE HIGHEST LARGE-SCALE GLASS BOTTOM POOL IN THE COUNTRY

Concord Pacific is literally making a splash with an iconic new 30 floor building, the ARC Vancouver, at the corner of Expo and Nelson – the gateway to downtown Vancouver.

A sky high swimming pool, connecting two condo towers, allows swimmers to fly high while looking down 19 floors through the pool’s clear acrylic (glass) bottom onto the plaza below.

The pool is the highest of its kind in Canada. The acrylic glass reveal is 38 feet by nearly 9 feet and was a massive challenge made by Concord to Walter Francl Architects and Glotman Simpson Engineers. Concord wanted to make this new building a bold statement for the people who live there and have a dramatic impact on the gateway to the Vancouver. LIV Interiors also made a bold statement with an “Ode to Canada” Maple Leaf ceiling design to give the building an entirely new character at night.
