Drawing the Future – Art Competition for Ages 6-12!

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival this weekend, Concord Pacific has partnered with the Vancouver Sun, to seek youth perspectives on the future of dragon boating in False Creek.

The art competition, Drawing the Future, is open to children aged 6-8 and 9-12, and will take place next to Concord Pacific Presentation Centre, where Carrall Street meets the seawall on June 24th and 25th.

Karen Mills, who curates Concord Pacific’s public art program, Harold Munro from the Vancouver Sun, and two youth judges will select their favourite drawings of the future. The two chosen pieces will be published in a full page of the Vancouver Sun the week following the event, and Concord Pacific and partners will present $3500 towards future education to each age category.
