Culture First

Concord Pacific not only supports citywide events, kids programs and charities. Concord is deeply woven into the community through culture, heritage and supporting the Nations that were here first. Concord Pacific has a long history of supporting employment programs like Blade Runners and Sole Foods and now supports youth and young people with employment and training opportunities all year at Concord’s pop up park.

As part of a partnership with Concord Pacific and Dragon Boat BC, the Musqueam Indian Band, Squamish Nation and Tsleil-Waututh Nations will all be contributing to carve race canoes at Concord Community Park. The project has been in development since 2018 and will commence fall, 2019.  The project is an opportunity for demonstrating the long history and culture of First Nations carving. The central location will assure that thousands will get he opportunity to see and learn.
